Wallada Black Free-Size Top with Handala & Al-Quds | Handmade Palestinian Tatreez

Meet Wallada, named after a princess-poet of Andalusia.

Wallada bint al-Mustakfi was an Umayyad princess of Córdoba, a poet who opened her home to writers and thinkers and was famous for speaking her mind. This top is made for women who wear their voice proudly.

A relaxed, free-size top in soft black Roxana fabric with wide sleeves and an asymmetric hem that dips longer at the sides, finished with a side tie. Handala, the barefoot child who stands for Palestinian return, is hand-stitched in turquoise and gold on both sleeves, and Al-Quds is embroidered across the back. Simple, meaningful and easy to wear every day.

Every piece is handmade, so some items are ready now and others are made for you after you order:

• Ready to ship: If it's in stock, your order ships from our warehouse in Canada within 1–3 business days.
• Made to order: If it's not in stock, our artisans make it just for you. This usually takes 6–8 weeks before it ships. Larger pieces can take up to 16 weeks.

While we strive to use the same fabric for each piece, if we encounter any major fabric changes, we will notify you promptly. Please note that slight variations in color, size, and stitching are normal and part of what makes every item unique. These variations are a sign of authenticity and the individual touch of the artisan who created your piece.

• If using a washing machine, turn the item inside out and place it in a mesh laundry bag. Use a gentle cycle with cold water.
